I need your help in the movement to cure arthritis

I am taking on the challenge to make a difference in our community by participating in the Arthritis Walk as a part of Let's Move Together, the Arthritis Foundation's nationwide movement that encourages people to move to prevent or treat arthritis.

Today, one in five people suffer from the pain of arthritis. This illness has affected my family. This walk is very special to me. As a child, I took care of my mother until she passed away in 1994. In 2002(24 yrs old), I was diagnosed with RA but before the doctors finally confirmed the diagnose, I had already recognized the symptoms. The medication that is out now was not available to my mother to slow the progression of the disease, she was not able to walk or do things for herself. My mother had to depend on me and others for help. I am grateful to God for giving scientist & doctors the knowledge that they need to continue researching this disease.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) project that by the year 2030, 67 million people in the U.S., or 1 in 4 adults, will live with arthritis. You can join me in the movement against arthritis by helping me reach my goal. Let's Move Together to improve lives and reduce the pain of arthritis.
